Anabel Peicher

Art allows me to express myself in a language of my own in which my inner feelings, passion and emotions flow through.

My art, sculptures and installations are eclectic and allude to the wonders of nature and to the ever changing world we live in.

Utilizing ordinary materials, manipulating them with different tools, applying heat to the ceramics and metals and observing their transformation of shape and color take place in front of my eyes is fascinating. I try to control the process but the outcome is often times unpredictable. I strive to captivate the viewer and allow their imaginations to soar.

Art transports me to a place where my imagination is set free, trusting my instincts I explore novel ways of creating art, this feeling is challenging and exhilarating.

Born in Lima-Perú, resides in Florida since 1974. Studied Architecture at the University of Miami.

She has had several solo shows, locally and internationally, including mother and daughter shows [with her artist Mom Raquel Rub] and has been the recipient of numerous awards in juried exhibits.

Volunteers teaching art at Atria Willow wood retirement community, and with children at Meals on Wheels and Gilda’s Club.

She is President of 2+3 the Artists’ organization, board member of The Broward Art Guild [Chair of Outreach and Co-Chair of Art around Town and the Youth Art Show], member of Artists as Entrepreneurs Institute, Art MD, ArtServe, Ceramic League Miami, National Association of Women Artists, National League of Pen Women.
