Statement

I spent my childhood years in Austin Texas, where my mom held stain glass window classes in our garage. Growing up, my happiest memories, the times when things made the most sense, were when I was being creative. This is why I paint.

When I?m starting a new painting, I?m able to see life through childlike eyes. There is nothing more exciting than the unknown, & endless possibilities of a blank canvas.

Painting quiets my mind. Other than being in nature, I?ve discovered that creating art is the closest thing to serenity, (for me) and I feel like my best self when I?m being creative.

My paintings signify my attempt to express the unknown, the unseen energies, as well as capture different moments, phases or times in my life, as if my paintings are an internal photograph of my mind and heart. They also often represent windows into other worlds, where anything is possible and magic exists.
