ART FOR CHILDREN

The Burghers Collection is Art For Children and is based on my original character, a Burgher (meaning townspeople) named Buddy and all his friends. He appears in each original themed musical painting aimed at further involving the child viewer with the artwork itself through sight, sound, and touch (the ptgs. are resin coated for durabilty). To further the interactive purpose through art and this particular venue, each painting has matching stuffed characters for children to recreate the ptg. in 3D, either identically or in their own way. The first book addresses an elementary topic to introduce the character and artwork and is followed up by another book with encreasingly more complex topic to read about, think about, and discuss. Each book is backed with a teaching aid for parents and grandparents on how to use this work and the entire concept in the most educationally fun way.
