Emily Freiman

I love to create art, and I do this in many media. I like a challenge. My gift is a sensitivity to the use of color, form, tone and texture in my work. I am delighted when a viewer interprets my work through his/her own mood, or find that it mirrors a hidden emotion. My color styles and combinations focus on enhancing reality---making it even more dynamic and exciting---reminding us of the powerful energy forces that dance behind all objects in nature. For me, one pivotal goal of art making is \"to uplift and transform the human spirit.\" Artists that have influenced my work include Chagall, Monet, Wolf Kahn, Keck, O\'Keeffe. These influences merge with my personality and result in a new artistic paradigm.

Emily Ann Freiman, MA, ATR, a Connecticut-born artist and Art Therapist, has lived in the California Bay area for 33 years, and has created art since childhood. She received fine and commercial art training at some of the finest schools, including University of Hartford Art School, Paier College of Art (Illustration major), and Massachusetts College of Art. Emily studied Chinese Brush Painting with Madeleine Fu in San Francisco, and textile surface design with Zeida Rothman in Berkeley. Her work, especially her one of a kind silk dyed scarves, can be seen at the Artist of the Valley Art Gallery in Napa, CA. Emily is now represented online by California Card Company RoRo Artworks:
