Gregory Hicks

Merging of Acrylic Painting, drawings and photography through a digital process of photomontage. Collecting past art work, which I have done, destroying it and reassembling it so that all becomes a cybernetic, virtual reality. My roots are in the dirt of California. My first memories were of California. The sky was blue the sun was yellow. The grass was green. On the grass sat empty, pink stucco bungalows. It was before anyone moved to California. It was vacuous, silent and waiting. It was the emptiness inside which my life would happen.

Three years at USC Shool of Architecture and Fine Arts.

Graduated Magna cum Laude from UCLA in Philosophy.
