Janet’s primary artistic focus is painting abstracts expressing positive energy, flowing with huge swaths of textured acrylic on canvas. The intent is to uplift and/or instill a sense of peacefulness and fulfillment, plus joy and healing for the viewer. Janet’s lifelong passion and pursuit revolves around art and creativity.

While a lifelong artist, I didn’t pursue art as a career until 8 years ago, where I focused on developing as an abstract painter, selected for juried and invitational shows, including the 2020 Los Angeles Art Show selected for a BG Gallery, Bergamot Station, Santa Monica juried show in 2019, 2022 and coming in June 2023..

Art’s in my fabric and my purpose is uplifting people. While my first career has been graphic, website and branding design, it’s vital developing on my path as an artist.

Started as Curator Organizer

I founded Venice Arts Collective, 2003-08 creating opportunities for artists in Venice, Santa Monica and Los Angeles.I curated and exhibited in the Venice Centennial Art Show at SPARC, 2005.

My digital art was exhibited three years at Councilman Bill Rosendahl, 11th District, West Los Angeles Office.

Paintings exhibited in a juried show (Juri Koll, Curator) in Venice, plus the Venice Art Crawl, 2015/16 .

In 2018, I was invited to be Solo Painter at Hollywood Sculpture Garden.

I was invited to exhibit in the Los Angeles Art Show in 2020 by BG Gallery, a highlight of my art career.
