Statement
Each piece of my art reflects how I perceive the world around me. I work to capture the essence of health, femininity, and creation in ways that stretch the boundaries of imagination. I find beauty in symmetry, in the way shapes align and come together to create a sense of flow and oneness. The contrast of flowing brushstrokes with sharp angles interests me, for it brings balance and harmony out of chaos. My work is deeply personal, shaped by my studies of indigenous health, western, and Chinese medicine. Art, for me, is a vessel of transformation—of the human spirit and of self-expression. I also use performance as another means to explore and share my journey. Through this work, I hope others are inspired to walk their own paths of healing, growth, and empowerment.
Biography
As an artist, I explore the powerful intersections of health, femininity, and creation. My work, inspired by abstract art and expressionism, features flowing brushstrokes and angular shapes to create harmony, embracing the internal symmetry within chaos. My art is deeply personal, reflecting my journey of self-discovery and growth as an artist and advocate.
I had the honor of showcasing my work in a solo exhibition in Los Angeles, centered around the womb and uterus, exploring women’s life stages, societal roles, and the strength of motherhood. Through these pieces, I aimed to honor the womb as the essence of creation, life, and connection.
With a background in human physiology and global health, and currently studying Chinese medicine and acupuncture, my artistic journey has been shaped by diverse influences. Mentored by fine artist Leat Silvera, I honed my painting skills and discovered art’s transformative power.
My first collection, UTERVERSE, honors the uterus as the vessel of creation and transformation. Since then, I have created other collections that explore different parts of the human experience. I strive to inspire others to embrace their own journeys of rebirth and self-discovery.
I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Lark Gallery and contribute to its mission of showcasing innovative, impactful art. Thank you for considering my application.
