Statement

My recent series attempts to integrate penned-up, internal emotional energy, through visually exploring the elegance of the female form in painting.

I channel emotions from every part of my body towards paint and brush and the connection begins with the piece. Allowing color to overflow and tangle up with texture; forming shape upon shape relationships. Crisis after crises burdens the body and heart, the weight is unbearable.

The women figures collapses in parts. Taking the punches put before her, tousled to decomposing, and she is left standing.
