Nancy Lehrer

These four images represent the Colors of Life in both harmony and variety. Nature provides us with many opportunities to focus on the hues of a single color: yellows, blues, and reds. Contrast this with a man-made rainbow of colors, textures, and shapes.

Nancy Lehrer has been using photography to capture her unique world-view through out her life. Although she holds Masters degrees in Music and Computer Science, she has always held on to her passion for photography. She is currently the Co-President of the Ventura County Camera Club and regularly presents workshops and lectures on composition and digital processing at both the Ventura County Camera Club and the Thousand Oaks Photo Group.

Nancy has been distinguished with many awards throughout the community including several 1st Place honors. Her 1st place honors include the 2009 and 2010 Ventura County Fair and the 2009 Ventura County Camera Club Annual Print Competition. She was awarded Best In Division for Color Photography in the 2009 Ventura County Fair. She has received additional awards at the 2010 Westlake Arts Guild Wide-Open Juried Digital Art show, the 2008, 2009, 2010 Ventura County Fair, Thousand Oaks Photo Group Print Competitions, and the Ventura County Camera Club Print Competitions. Her work has been shown at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery sponsored by the Westlake Arts Guild. A selection of Nancy?s work is currently on exhibit in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Center, Kavli Theatre.

Nancy has published two books on photography. ?Los Angeles: Yesterday, Today? documents life within the historic buildings of downtown Los Angels and Hollywood. ?2 Mega-Pixels or Less?, explores the use of low-resolution camera-phones as a means of photographi
