Statement
My work is about self-discovery, not only of myself, but the discovery of the photographic media, its intricacies, the technology; about solving the problems of composition, lighting, film processing and getting out of bed at 2:00AM to catch a sunrise in the San Joaquin Valley.
Influenced by such diverse photographers such as Edward Weston, Minor White, Ansel Adams and the Starn twins, as a Fine Arts Photographer I want to create photographic works of the highest possible quality that are aesthetically pleasing and challenge the viewer.
Biography
Developed first roll of film when I was 10 years old after seeing Kolbs images of lightening strikes over the Grand Canyon. Formally trained at Brooks Institute of Photography. Spent several years photographing equine events and developing software. Began landscape photography in 2014 using large format view camera.
