Svetlana Srednyaya

Most of my paintings are oil on canvas technique - play of light and color, inspired by nature and my personal impressions: colorful sparkles, rays and shadows of the sea, sky and air. These are my personal symbols throughout my paintings. I create as well tailor made drawings inspired by people - from personalized postcards to the paintings on the walls of the new apartments if the hosts want to breathe in some specific character into their houses. I truly believe that the aim of my paintings is to bring the message of joy and happy moments of life across to people.

Born in 1981 in a Siberian city of Chita shortly moved to the city of Dmitrov Moscow Region. Being true representatives of Russian intelligence as my parents had passion for art: out of alternatives available I chose art school and was extremely lucky with my teacher, who has been my tutor and friend for all those years. After 5 years at art school I became a University student very far from art as art traditionally does not guarantee your big bright future (general truth and parents\' opinion). However, I continued my art classes in private studio, being already a media planner in one of the top media planning agencies. After 3 years of work in the studio I acquired my own style and became mature enough to start participating in exhibitions of the young artists. So, in 2009 my paintings were in “The spring of hopes” exhibition in Kashirka, Moscow (Feb-March) , Exhibition dedicated to the Year of Youth in Russia in a “Unique talent” gallery (April-May), “Women artists to kids” exhibition in a “Unique talent” gallery, Moscow (May-June). I am concerned now that my art is an integral part of my life now and I know now for sure - I will be moving towards my dream to become the artist for the rest of my life.
