Trisha Haaz

Art has inspired me on so many levels. Art is life, and art is beautiful. At times, painting can be frustrating. Yet beauty emerges at the end of creating.

My name is Trisha Haaz. I am happily married with a 2 1/2 year old girl, who shares my joy in painting.

I have been painting for over 20 years. Until recently, I have never attended any art classes.

I love using vibrant colors. My artwork stems from inspirations that I form in my mind. An inspiration can come from another art piece, music, nature, people, animals, and emotions that stir with-in me. These tools help me to create my artwork.

I find beauty in many things. I pay attention to detail in everything I see. I believe detail is important to have so someone can understand what I am trying to say.

Fantasy sweeps me away. I love to incorporate some form of fantasy in my artwork. I love the ocean, castles, mermaids, and fairies. Anything mystical.

Around 8 years ago, I owned a small doggy day care. I began to paint animal portraits, and made a small business out of it.

My life has always been surrounded by art. A few years ago, my mother and I manufactured a purse line. These purses were replicas of 1940 purses made of Lucite. These purses were created by images that I drew up. In high school, I designed jeans with my artwork. My Godmother assisted me, and has been a big support system for me and my artwork since I was a child.

I am currently painting with oils. Oil painting has opened up a new world for me. Oil painting has a life of it's own and I love what I can create with it.

All of my pieces tell a story. So much of my heart and myself goes into my work.
